A Contractor's Christmas
‘Twas the weeks before Christmas and all through the land,
Our team was all out working, our tools in our hands.
The stockings all hung by the chimney with care, the extra cookies from our customers – how nice that they share!
The bedroom needs painted, the closet a light. Someone is waiting patiently for a long winter’s night.
Out in the driveway, there arose such a clatter! Someone out there had just dropped a ladder.
We picked it up and huddled -- I rallied the team. We then rushed on to the job with a head full of steam.
On Drywall! On Taping! On Mudding the Walls! Onto sanding, priming and painting and decking those halls!
We spoke not a word, but went straight to our work. Finished hanging the lighting and turned with a jerk.
We cleaned up the jobsite, tidying up all the places. We noticed the smiles lighting up our customers’ faces.
Jumping in our trucks we drove out of sight.
